                                                            William Penn

William Penn was born October 14th, 1644. William Penn was a real estate entrepreneur, and the found of Province of Pennsylvania. The future Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, also the English North American. William Penn was known for numerous works in which exhorted believers to adhere to the spirit of Primitive Christianity. A lot of people looked up to Penn and also there were people who thought he was a hero because of his beliefs. One of William Penn famous quotes that is known as” Justice is the insurance which we have on our lives and property. Obedience is premium which we pay for it.”  To me this quote means that whatever you in life that karma will always come back. It may not happen automatically but eventually it will. Justice is the way of life, wrong is wrong and right is right in other words justice is another way of karma.

When I read this quote from William Penn it reminded me of a time that justice was served upon me. My tenth grade year in high school a couple of my friends and me went to the mall. We went to the mall to steal , we’ll there was a pair of ear rings that I wanted  but I did not have the currency to purchase them, so instead of walking away I stole the earrings, not thinking about the actions of getting caught. However I did get caught and was afraid of what was going to happen to me. I figured that I was not going to get in much trouble because of both of my parents were out of town at that time. As time progressed I thought that this situation was never going to come to the light, until one day a letter came in the mail stating that I was going to attend a meeting for my actions. My parents read the letter and were curious to know why I am attending this meeting. I was afraid to tell my parents the truth but I knew that I could not hold this secret forever so I decided to tell my parents everything.

                                                            Heraclitus

Heraclitus of was as Greek philosopher, not much is known about his life and education. Heraclitus is known for his theory that states that the world is on fire is the basic material of the world, Heraclitus is also known for his doctrines and theories such as the universal flux theory, and the unity of opposite’s theory.  His native Ephesus was a prominent city of Ionia, the Greek-inhabited coast of Asia Minor, but was subject to Persian rule in his lifetime. Heraclitus was also known for his quotes, one of his most famous quotes was “Opposition brings: Out of discord comes the fairest harmony”

I think this quote means out of chaos come harmony. The reason I say this is because even though bad things happen, we as people still learn lessons from the bad things that has happen in our lives, or the bad things that has happen can also bring people together. For example, when 9/11 occurred yes it was devastating to our country but the whole country came together not to fix it but it showed how strong we are together that we can’t be beat when we are together. I  think his quote applies to him because, he was known to be the “weeping philosopher”.  This means that he probably went to through a lot in his lifetime; which also means he probably learned a lot from what he went through in his life. Mentioned earlier in this journal, little is known about his life therefore I do not know what exact battles he came across in his life. However from this quote you can tell he has been through some obstacles.
